April 24, 2025, A Day we Will Never Forget—our very first patient rang the bell, celebrating her victory over cancer. It was a powerful, emotional moment, filled with hope, strength, and joy.
What resonated most was something she shared: “RMC didn’t treat me like a number. I was treated like a person.” In a world where compassion can sometimes feel rare, those words meant everything. At Rhea Medical, patients aren’t just cases—they’re people. That’s what makes this place truly special.
We are absolutely overjoyed for this remarkable patient. Her strength and spirit inspire us all, and we’re honored to have walked this journey with her.
Here’s to more victories, more bells rung, and more lives changed!
Surrounded by cheering staff, friends, and loved ones, Ms. Mary made her way through the crowd with strength and grace, ringing the bell with a smile that lit up the entire room. This moment wasn’t just a celebration of her triumph, but a symbol of hope for every patient walking a similar path.
Ms. Mary, your strength inspires us all. Here’s to new adventures, new memories, and a life full of joy beyond cancer.

Whether through family, friendships, or shared interests like golf, Paul formed lasting connections and was always ready to help those he cared about. A passionate golfer, Paul regularly spent time on his home course and enjoyed organizing trips with his friends in "The Mafia." He was also a dedicated member of the Rhea Medical Healthcare Foundation Board, playing a key role in the success of our golf tournaments. In recognition of his enduring impact, we honor his memory again this year, with a golf tournament in his name.

We are deeply grateful for their support and for being a part of our mission in 2024, “Bringing Cancer Treatment Home”.

Event proceeds will go towards the purchase of an electroencephalogram (EEG) machine to support Rhea Medical's up-coming tele-neurology program. This machine will be utilized to assist the neurologists in the diagnosis and management of various neurological disorders including strokes, seizures, traumatic injury, drug intoxication, and anoxic brain injury. Because of this soon to be implemented tele-neurology program, many of these patients will be able to be treated locally without having to be transferred to another facility.

Our annual Rhea-diant Celebration dinner & auction took place at the historic Trinity Chapel. The theme this year was La Bella Vita, meaning “the good life” in Italian. The following night the Foundation hosted a new event, Saturday Social. This event included live music, trivia, hors d'oeuvres & cocktails.
This year, proceeds from the Rhea-diant Celebration, and Saturday Social went towards the purchase of a Transesophageal echocardiography probe (TEE). TEE is a test that produces pictures of your heart by using high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) to make detailed pictures of your heart and the arteries that lead to and from it. Unlike a standard echocardiogram, the echo transducer that produces the sound waves for TEE is attached to a thin tube that passes through the mouth, and into the esophagus. Because of the proximity of the esophagus to the upper chambers of the heart, very clear images of those heart structures and valves can be obtained.
